From the minute we cut our Lapis Lazuli to fit our NEW Everyday Cocktail ring design, and the gold within the stone was released  (naturally occurring in the Royal Lapis Lazuli Stone), I knew I wanted to set this stone in solid yellow gold. 

I had pretty much already decided that we needed an #everyday cocktail ring in a range of colours and when we shared them with you last week to see which of the new stones to add to the range... I was blown away by your response. When we counted up the votes for each stone, we discovered there were equal votes...

I want all young women, all women in general to fly and that’s why we chose the three dimensional bird as the logo for this new global brand.

As we head for our 14 year anniversary in business on Sept 20 it makes me reflect on how far we have come as a brand, as a company and how much my hubby Mr Uber and I have grown as humans who share a business and a growing family.

My love of chunky “feature jewellery” started young and while the first 10 years of Uberkate have been dedicated to the personalised and heirloom I am now in a position to share my love of stones with you all…

I am not a stalker… I just felt the need to state that at the beginning of this post. When we sat down recently to plan for Mother’s Day we decided we wanted to create some beautiful new images to share with you guys.

For more than 14 years we have been hand making and custom engraving our Ubercircles. Our signature set of small / medium and large/ circles with custom made clip are worn and loved the world over and I’m constantly thrilled by seeing photos of the places our necklaces being worn, gifted and loved.

I’m not what you would call an ethereal person. I’d really like to be.. and I often think I can appear to be. But the truth is I am more like a swan who appears to be gliding on water, and meanwhile their feet are going a million miles an hour under the water to keep them gliding along!

Being pregnant is such a wonderful time, but for many women, it’s also a time where insecurity raises it’s head.

I think we are all “sisters” as women. Though we may not be genetically related to each other, I believe that there is a bond between women of all backgrounds, races and genetic pools that is almost on a molecular level.

I felt really emotional during my recent work trip to Honkers (the inner poet in me even made an appearance!)

As beings who have lived on this planet for such a long time now, I truly believe we each have a responsibility to pass our gifts and our learned skills on to our children.

Once upon a time a pair of sisters in their late 20’s went on a beach side holiday together. The older sister asked the younger sister to help her choose a new swimming costume and alas she thought at the ripe old age of 28 that she should be looking at a one piece.
