AFW Through Our Eyes

A week of nonstop walking, inspiring fashion, beautiful people and, of course, great bling. Australian Fashion Week always leaves us feeling creatively recharged, and this year felt extra special. 

One of the biggest highlights for us was attending the Carla Zampatti show. When it comes to Australian fashion, I truly feel like I was raised on Carla Zampatti. The tailoring, the prints, the elegance… iconic every single time. Sitting at the show with my mini me beside me felt like such a full-circle moment. Even more special, Lulu wore a vintage Carla skirt straight from my wardrobe, somehow making the night feel even more meaningful. 

The next night, Lulu introduced me to one of her favourite brands, Hansen & Grete, I immediately understood her obsession. Think floaty sheer fabrics, bold colours and playful prints everywhere. Safe to say, we were obsessed. One thing we learnt from this year's shows? Colour is officially having a moment, and we are completely here for it. 

Another really special part of the week was lending jewellery to Tate Boswarva, the designer behind Atté. Seeing her wear UbyKate during such an important moment in her career felt incredibly special to us. Supporting young women following their passion will always mean a lot to me, and watching her success was such a beautiful reminder of my own journey in the early days.

One thing that still catches us off guard every single time is being recognised out and about by so many of you wearing UbyKate. There is something so surreal about spotting our pieces in the wild or meeting women already wearing them before they even realise who we are. Those moments genuinely never get old.

Fashion Week this year reminded us why we love what we do. Creativity and self expression was everywhere, you get to see the pieces that become part of someone's story.
