I hand wrote him this little love letter and the Uberkate workshop engraved it into sterling silver plate. After witnessing Mr Uber’s beautiful reaction I just knew this was something we needed to be able to offer to all of you too.

Bali is an assault on all senses… the food is some of the best anywhere in the world (in my opinion) and the skill of the Balinese artists blows me away every time I am there.

There are some things you realize that you lose sight of until you remove yourself from the everyday.

After a particularly full on year in business, Mr Uber and I realised that if we didn’t take ourselves away from the everyday stuff for a little while – we would never get a chance for a break or an opportunity to recharge and reassess our mindset.

Dads; fathers, pops, a son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love… or in my case ‘The Rare Eastern Bilby’.

If you’ve always dreamed of a white wedding, consider getting hitched in winter. There’s something so magical about winter weddings, and the winter hues are the perfect backdrop for the frosty and gilded white wedding colour palette.

Just like moving homes, moving into a new work space also allows you the opportunity to “redesign your life” so to speak.

Let it be known that I love gold. Of course I do – I am a jeweller, but it is more than that. I love the gleam in the metal, the flexibility at its heart and its core. I love its colour, its sentiment (you are GOLD to me) and I love that it’s precious and respected and cherished.

Sometimes in life the mistakes we make are the things that turn into our greatest assets.

When life is busy we can far too often let the moments we cherish pass us by. I have made a promise to myself and my children to find a moment in every day that makes me truly happy.

Last week I received an email from a gorgeous Uberwoman who has many pieces of Uberkate in her collection, this time though – her email was to explain that suddenly she had one too many Uberkate pieces in her collection.

For our latest photoshoot we headed to the idyllic coastal haven of Byron Bay. The morning mist of the Pacific Ocean, the picturesque sands of Broken Head, and the warm autumn sunshine created the perfect setting for our barefoot bohemian styled shoot, featuring local ladies and their families enjoying their little piece of paradise.

Last week I had just that experience for myself. I thought my own family being rushed off our feet making Mother’s day gifts for our Uberkate peeps hadn’t had time to by me anything and so I bolted into Zara and did a little damage to the credit card.

One of the most exciting things about being in business is the chance meeting with another creative and what results from those chance meetings if you are #brave enough to follow up a dynamic discussion.

The warmer months see us begin to expose our arms after a winter spent tucked under cardigans and jackets and long sleeves. What better way to celebrate their reemergence than by adorning them with a little precious arm candy.

Creating jewellery is such a personal experience and one I am blessed to have as my calling.
