From a FaceTime Call in WA to a Proposal in the Philippines

Sometimes the most beautiful pieces begin with a simple conversation.
Not in a jewellery store.
Not over a glass counter.
But on a screen, thousands of kilometres away.
L first reached out from Western Australia. We jumped on an online call and started talking about the kind of ring she had always imagined. Not just the size or the shape, but the feeling she wanted when she looked down at her hand years from now.
Those conversations matter to us.
Because when we understand the person behind the ring, everything else falls into place.
Once I understood her energy, her style and the story she was trying to tell, B and I took it from there.
Together we began shaping the design.
The Vision
At first, the concept centred around a magnificent 5 carat brilliant cut round diamond and a setting that would honour that kind of stone. As the design evolved and the possibilities opened up, the vision grew with it and five became seven.
The final centre stone was a breathtaking 7 carat brilliant cut round diamond that had the kind of presence you feel before you even put it on.

The Details That Made It Truly Special
The ring was crafted in platinum to give strength and elegance to the design.
At the centre sits that magnificent brilliant cut round diamond.
Through the band, we incorporated our signature floating bezels, each holding natural brilliant cut round diamonds that appear to sit weightlessly within the metal.
Float set stones create movement and light within the ring. From every angle the diamonds seem to glow from within the band itself.
The result is a piece that feels bold, refined and deeply personal.
Not just a ring. A future heirloom.

The Moment It All Led To
The ring travelled far from our Sydney studio and the proposal happened in the Philippines.
A surprise, a carefully planned moment and a question that would change everything.
And she said... "yes".

Designing A Ring From Across The Country
One of the things we love most about this story is how it began - with a simple Zoom call.
Many people hesitate when they realise their appointment might need to be online. They worry that it will not feel the same as sitting in the studio with us or that the process will be harder to visualise.
But this ring is proof that distance does not limit what we can create together.
Through video calls, gemstone presentations, design sketches and ongoing conversations, we guide clients through every step. You see the stones, understand the design decisions and remain part of the process from start to finish.
The result is exactly the same. Sometimes even more special, because the experience becomes a shared journey across time zones and sometimes even continents.
