Hong Kong Wanderlust

Hong Kong Wanderlust
Hong Kong Wanderlust

Each year usually in February I am lucky enough to travel to Hong Kong for 'work'.

I use the term 'work' loosely because even though I am technically there working... it feels more like I am on an uplifting holiday as Hong Kong literally fuels my creative soul.

The Hong Kong in the history books is an autonomous territory... a former British colony, in southeastern China.

In my eyes, it's a vibrant, tightly packed city full of human-ness!

Between Hong Kong Island and the mainland is a major port and global financial hub with a stunning skyscraper-studded skyline.

Hong Kong is also a major shopping destination, famed for bespoke tailors and Temple Street Night Market - a place that makes my heart step it up a beat or three.

Each year I go to meet with stone sellers, stone cutters and other creative business people.

It is with these people that I learn and work with the creatives on new designs, get across what the global jewellery marketplace is doing and catch up with many of my contemporaries.

There is food to be consumed and stones to be tried on for size.

There are walks to be taken and new corners to be explored.

I could go to Hong Kong every year for the rest of my life and still have not seen everything.

Come take a little walk with me...
